A Spanish Inspired Wedding at The Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds
Welcome to Sarah and Joe’s Spanish Inspired Wedding at The Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds. This Wedding is every Pintrest lovers dream. They were so attentive to every single detail. As a Photographer that LOVES shooting Wedding details, this was a dream wedding day for me. The bold and bright colors photographed so beautifully, I love that they went with colors that aren’t the usual colors you see at most Weddings.
The day started at Sarah’s parent’s home where her mom and sister’s helped her get ready. You could just see and feel the love bouncing off everyone on this special day. The afternoon was full of laughter and cheerful voices. It rained a little so we had to chance out initial location for portraits. We decided to photograph the Bridal Portraits and Family Portraits in front of Sarah’s Parent’s home. I think those images came out so wonderful and shooting them in front of their family home made them even more special.
The Ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes, NJ. It was a wonderful and sweet Ceremony with live music. After their exit we headed to the Church’s garden for Bride and Groom Portraits. Sarah and Joe were not going to let a little rain get in the way of getting the pictures at the location they wanted. They came prepared with clear umbrellas and we quickly shot their portraits. The Bride and Groom Portraits in the rain were some of my favorites of the day.
Finally everyone headed to the Wedding Reception which was at The Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ. This beautiful space was transformed into a vibrant Spanish Wedding. Sarah and Joseph really wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests. Typically couples who do not have a First Look do not get to partake or enjoy the whole cocktail hour. But Sarah and Joe made sure that they allowed enough time for me to shoot their portraits and enjoy their cocktail hour. I can totally see why they wanted join their friends and family during this time instead of relaxing before the reception.
Their cocktail hour was AMAZING, so much wonderful food ( I will list the caterer at the end of the post).
The Reception was lively and never was the dance floor empty. Everyone was having so much fun celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs Sedo. Including my team, we are so thankful that Sarah & Joe chose us to capture their day. Not only on and after the Wedding day but throughout the entire planning process they were incredibly kind. It was truly a pleasure to work with them both. They truly are a wonderful couple.
Get ready, this post has A LOT of images but that is because it was so hard for me to narrow them down for a Recap. I hope you all enjoy Sarah & Joe’s Wedding Day !

St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes was one of the most accommodating churches I have ever shot in. They asked me and my second shooter what they could do to make sure we were able to capture everything we needed. They were so flexible and amazing to my team. It was truly a pleasure to shoot at this church.

Sarah’s older sister was her Maid Of Honor. I got so emotional during her speech because it reminded me of my relationship with my little sister/assistant Kimberly. Sarah and her sister I believe are a bit over 10 years apart in age. When you have such a gap in age the older sister almost feels like a second mom. Her speech really touched me and after the wedding I mentioned this to Kimberly and she said “OMG me too, it reminded me of us and I got a bit emotional”. I am 13 years older than Kimberly and although growing up I wanted a sister close to my age, I look back now and absolutely love that we have such a gap. That gap gives you the privilege to really experience your younger sibling growing up and watch them become wonderful people. Even though at times you have to remind them that you are not their mother lol.
A special thank you to all the wonderful vendors that made this day possible
