Family Session | Maymont Park in Richmond, VA.

Last December I traveled to Richmond Virginia for a Katelyn James Event. A previous  Scar Vita Couple lives in Richmond. I let them know when I would be out there and fortunately they were available and we scheduled their family session. It felt so great to catch up to see their little girl. I road tripped to Virginia solo, which was a five hour drive. I love how it was December and it still looked like fall. Fall is the best season in my opinion. I love the pop of oranges and yellows. Seeing the change in nature just fires me up. We shot this session on the last day of my trip, Tamira and Bernardo picked the location since I am clueless when it comes to Richmond. Maymont Park in Richmond, VA was a dream to shoot in for this family session.

Maymont Park in Richmond, VA consisted of open areas, a beautiful fountain, stone walls, columns and a Japanese garden with a beautiful large pond. This one location had so many options to choose from. We even had a few Deers come and say hi. The Wells Family was such a great family to shoot. They are a fun and laid back family that love to laugh and are so kind. We had so fun, it makes me sad that they aren’t local to me.

The soft glowy light and warm tones went perfectly with their light pink and blue color scheme. Funny thing, Tamira and I ended up matching at this session. Pink is my favorite color so most of the time I am wearing pink. Therefore I was so excited that they chose pink and their color scheme for this session.
