Roxanne & Kyle’s Brooklyn Engagement Session
A Brooklyn Bridge Engagement session right along the water, hands down one of my favorite locations. Roxanne & Kyle are getting married this October at The Grain house in Basking Ridge, NJ. They chose to have their engagement in Brooklyn to incorporate the city girl in Roxanne since their wedding will be a bit country inspired. Plus Kyle had never been to Brooklyn Bridge so what a great way to make a day of it in the city. I know I say this a lot but I am beyond excited for their wedding day ! Honestly I am excited for all of my couple’s wedding dates. But Roxanne and I had our first meeting in the NYC over guacamole and I just love when I am able to talk to brides in a non-traditional meeting setting. I felt like I really connected with her and got to understand what she was really looking for. This fun couple was such a treat to shoot, they were up for anything. It was a cold windy day and we were in Brooklyn right by the water, but they handled it like pros nothing was going to bring them down on their day. Including tourist rudely standing pressed against them, literally no lie ! One tourist was not only in my shot but clearly invading their personal space 😂 But hey that’s just part of shooting in the New York City, we just laughed it off and continued having a great session. We wrapped the session by actually going onto the bridge on a weekend at 4pm, which meant it was packed with tourist but totally worth it. I always suggest to my couple’s that if they are not picking an Engagement location that has a sentimental value to them perhaps they should choose a location they can make discover and enjoy after their session. Make a day of it, plan a date ! Here’s a few of my favorites from their Brooklyn Bridge Engagement Session.
