Jamie & Garrett | Manasquan Reservoir , Monmouth County, NJ

This was my first time shooting a Manasquan Reservoir Engagement. Jamie & Garrett chose this location for their Engagement Session because Garrett grew up in the area. And because they often visit and hike in this site with their two dogs. I always recommend couple’s choose a place that they frequent or have any special memories at for their Engagement Session. It just makes the session extra special when it is some place you love.

Manasquan Reservoir was a dream location to shoot in. The light was so beautiful and there was so much glow despite the rain. The day of their engagement session I was nervous that we might get rained out. On my drive over it was POURING and dark. But as I approached Monmouth County it was dry, the rain had not yet hit the area.

Garrett knew all the great spots for us to shoot here. We got so lucky that it started to drizzle towards the end of the session. Jamie & Garrett came prepare with clear umbrellas. If it wasn’t for the umbrella you would never suspect it was drizzling for part of this shoot. We had amazing glowy light throughout it all. The lighting was a photographers dream. The way the greenery just glowed 😍 My soul sung after seeing the images.

As soon as Jamie & Garrett were positioned on the rocks by the water it began to drizzle. Luckily I was able to snap this before we had to relocate.

I LOVE unique engagement rings, especially if they hold some sentimental meaning. Jamie’s ring use to below to her Great-Aunt.
